Mizuno Ami, or Sailor Mercury, seems to fit the stereotype of "brains of the group" very well.
In the manga, we are told that she has an IQ of 300, and Ami always gets the sailor team out of trouble by using her computer and her brain.
Ami never seems to be able to get her nose out of a book, but unlike someone who might feel obligated to study excessively, she's a bookworm because she enjoys doing schoolwork.
Ami is a very sensitive and tenderhearted girl, but her character seems a little flat at times. Mostly, it seems that she is only an incarnation of what every Asian parent wants their daughter to be like.
Although Ami may not seem like the hippest member of the senshi team, she'll make a great mother and member of society someday.
