Michiru Kaiou, or Sailor Neptune, is the elegant senshi of the sea. In her senshi form, Michiru is cold, ruthless, and will sacrifice anything for her duty and mission. However, her emotions, sensitivity, and motherliness are readily apparrent as a civilian.Michiru's musical abilities are beyond compare -- she is a violin virtuoso. Michiru is also a prominent painter, and has had several of her pictures on exhibition at art shows. Michiru especially enjoys painting pictures of the sea, presumably of her kinship and elemental tie to it.
I fully believe that Michiru possesses one of the most complex personalities of the nine senshi. Internal conflict is present within her character and she displays a wide range of personal qualities, unlike some of the other "typecast" characters such as Usagi, Ami, and Makoto.
